Aboriginal Legal Service (ALS) was established over 50 years ago in response to a protest movement. We provide high-quality, culturally safe legal and support services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people throughout NSW and the ACT.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

In this role, you will be a key member of a passionate team. The role delivers culturally appropriate legal services in domestic and family violence prevention, care & protection, and family law to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients.

  • Providing considered, independent, balanced and professional legal advice in the areas of domestic and family violence and/or sexual assault, family law and care & protection.
  • Actively seek opportunities to deliver targeted community legal education on domestic and family and domestic violence to our clients and communities.
  • Act as a mentor to junior solicitors.
  • Engage with stakeholders and community.
