CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Graduate membership of the Institution of Structural Engineers – Essential
  • Degree, BEng or MEng and working towards Incorporated Engineer or Chartered Engineer status – Essential
  • Holds a current site card or is prepared to immediately attain – Essential
  • Proficient in the use of autoCAD, Revit, Tekla Structural Design or equivalent software analysis and design packages - Essential
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite – Essential
  • Familiar with relevant design codes of practice across all main materials- Essential
  • Familiar with construction, health and safety legislation and risks and hazards associated with asbestos – Desirable
  • Familiar with legislative and behavioural requirements around the Building Safety Act - Desirable
  • Experience in a similar or related role of between 2 -4 years post-graduate - Desirable
Responsibilities
  • Liaise with the structural engineering team to plan workload and resource.
  • Completion of structural engineering design to agreed quality, cost and time targets.
  • Develop cross discipline project coordination with architectural and building services engineering design colleagues
  • Support the delivery of high quality management and delivery of projects and programmes to the required quality, cost and agreed timescales.
  • Achieve successful client relationships and ensure clients receive sound professional advice.
  • Maintain good quality project files and records; update systems and financial reports.
  • Responsible for identifying new business opportunities.
  • Fee earning at 90%, and contribute to the achievement of business plan objectives and targets.
  • This role requires frequent travel to other offices and sites as required.
  • Carry out duties appropriate to the grade of the post.
  • Promote continuous improvement and deliver demonstrable high quality products and services which embrace quality standards.
  • Demonstrate personal commitment to the Norse Way CSR strategy.
