ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

Our Public Sector client has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Technical Writer with a background in Naval Ammunition and Explosives (A&E) practices. This role is focused on researching, drafting, and updating policy and procedure documents. The selected candidate will play a pivotal role in developing and publishing updated policy and related Naval Orders, ensuring alignment with Canadian and NATO A&E safety requirements.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Support the Ammunition Technical Authority (ATA) with stakeholder engagements on the development of Vol 6 and subsequent NAVORD planning to capture specific A&E procedures that do not belong in a policy document
  • Draft and present assessments and options to provide advice and updates to Director Naval Logistics (D Nav Log) leadership, as required
  • Review relevant documents, reports, and conduct consultations with stakeholders
  • Review legacy A&E policy to assist in its synthesis into the Vol 6 publication and any adjoining NAVORDs
