RVA is ranked in the Top 50 Trenchless firms in North America. The Toronto office is looking for a full-time Intermediate Municipal/ Trenchless Engineer to join their team to manage unique and challenging projects!

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must hold an active P.Eng designation with the ability to practice in the province of Ontario (or eligible to transfer/receive P.Eng within the next 6-12 months)
  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized post-secondary institution
  • 5-10 years’ experience in conceptual, preliminary and detailed design of linear water main and sewer projects is essential. Experience in trunk watermain and trunk sewer design is a plus
  • Must possess practical knowledge of trenchless technologies, linear design, and condition assessment of sewers and watermains. Hydraulic and Hydrologic modelling experience is an asset
  • Must be proficient in design engineering for large municipal and provincial agencies. Must possess a strong ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with staff and clients
  • Familiar with local design and construction standards and requirements for permits and approvals, and possess practical knowledge of construction sequencing and constructability
  • Experience managing projects and working in AutoCAD and Microstation

Responsibilities
  • Providing project engineering and technical expertise, analysis and design services on linear infrastructure with a focus on rehabilitation projects.
  • Participating in studies, assessments, preliminary and detailed design, cost estimates, specifications, contract documents, tendering and contract administration
  • Manage condition assessment inspections for sewer, watermains, manholes and valve chamber structures
  • Liaising with clients, consultants, regulatory agencies and utility companies and contractors
  • Participating in Business Development initiatives for linear infrastructure rehabilitation opportunities
  • Collaborate with staff among all levels of the company and other stakeholders to meet deliverables on multiple projects at any given time
  • Participate in the training, development and mentoring of junior staff
  • Other duties as assigned that are relevant to the position
