On behalf of our Banking client, Procom is searching for an Intermediate UX/UI Designer – Interface Design for a 3-month role. This position is a hybrid position with 4 days onsite at our client’s Toronto office.

INTERMEDIATE UX/UI DESIGNER – INTERFACE DESIGN - JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking an Intermediate UX/UI Designer with a strong focus on user interface design to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for shaping and elevating the visual experience of our products, ensuring that interfaces are not only beautiful but also intuitive and functional. You will collaborate closely with product managers, developers, and other designers to transform ideas into polished, user-friendly interfaces that meet both business goals and user needs.

INTERMEDIATE UX/UI DESIGNER – INTERFACE DESIGN - MANDATORY SKILLS:

  • Portfolio showcasing strong UI-focused projects have worked on.
  • 3-5 years experience in UI/UX design.
  • Advanced skills in design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD).
  • Strong understanding of visual design principles (layout, typography, color theory, hierarchy).
  • Experience creating and working with design systems.
  • Knowledge of responsive and adaptive design for web and mobile platforms.
  • Ability to communicate design decisions clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

INTERMEDIATE UX/UI DESIGNER – INTERFACE DESIGN – NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS:

  • Basic understanding of front-end development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) to improve collaboration with engineers.
  • Experience designing for complex workflows, dashboards, or enterprise applications.
  • Motion/interaction design skills (e.g., micro-animations, transitions, prototyping in Principle or After Effects).
  • Familiarity with conducting user testing or research activities, even at a lightweight level.
  • Knowledge of AI-driven design tools or emerging technologies.
Responsibilities
  • Translate requirements and user needs into high-fidelity UI designs that are visually engaging and easy to use.
  • Create wireframes, mockups, prototypes, and production-ready assets for web and/or mobile platforms.
  • Evolve and maintain our design system to ensure consistency across products.
  • Work with developers to ensure design fidelity during implementation.
  • Use UX principles to ensure usability and accessibility, even while focusing on visual excellence.
