Red Rabbit Web Solutions Inc. is a web development firm specializing in building scalable and secure web solutions. These include CMS, e-commerce and custom web applications.

EXPERIENCE:

While a formal education isn’t mandatory, it would be an asset. We expect you to have 2+ years of development experience and have deployed at least one project in a production environment.

SKILLS:

  • 2+ years as a Software Developer or similar role working on a user-facing application (this may include internships, co-ops)
  • Experience with PHP and at least one modern framework (e.g. Laravel, Symfony)
  • Experience with JavaScript and at least one client-side framework (e.g. VueJS, React, Angular)
  • Experience writing SQL
  • Deep understanding of client-server HTTP interaction particularly request/response flow
  • Understand middleware and service layers to handle authentication, logging, request/response transformation, etc.
  • Strong understanding of OOP concepts and practices
  • English speaking
  • Experience with version control (Git)
  • Experience with managing and updating project dependencies (NPM, Composer, etc.)
  • Experience with Testing / QA
  • Comfortable with Linux CLI

Responsibilities

We require a Fullstack Software Developer to help us with various on-going client projects. Day-to-day you will be:

  • Collaborating with a small development team on various client projects.
  • Working on features and enhancements using PHP, Laravel, VueJS, Drupal, MySQL and more.
  • You will play a key role in designing, building and maintaining robust APIs and working with middleware that tie the systems together.
  • Your primary focus will be on server-side implementation.
  • Help improve the software engineering culture and practices of a growing web development firm.
  • Ideally you will be a problem solver; someone who can make architectural decisions, contribute to technical discussions and work independently when needed.
