Job Description Job Description Summary: Your primary responsibility will be on Enterprise product “Firmware Development” for Western Digital SAS/NVMe/NVMe-oF storage enclosures/servers, Interact with engineers within the team and across other teams in the company and coordinate development activities. To be able to deliver a quality product by performing all the necessary development for various firmware modules which interact with different sub components in a storage enclosure. Contribute majorly towards the Firmware Implementation of Western Digital Storage Platforms. Debug firmware and hardware issues with SSD/HDD, storage products through the use of systematic debugging and robust Implementation of SDLC. Enabling team in ensuring timely development of Agile Story Implementations with enhanced review process and helping in resolving day to day issues/activities. Consult with cross geo teams in architectural resolution & design reviews. Job Description: Self-motivated and self-driven Engineer with passion to work on Server / Storage firmware development in storage subsystems. Potential Engineers will be working on WD Storage Servers, Storage Arrays – Hybrid JBOD, JBOFs, eBOFs. Willingness to learn storage protocols in-depth - SAS, SCSI, NVMe, PCIe, NVMeoF. Understanding of Hardware and Software interaction using any embedded language. Learning In-depth analysis for debugging complex issues by working on SAS/PCIe/Ethernet analyzers. C/C++/Python coding knowledge is desirable. Solid working knowledge of operating systems: Windows / Linux including trouble shooting issues/problems Understand Software development Life Cycle Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills Ability to achieve results in a fast moving, dynamic environment Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines Qualifications B.E / B.Tech - ECE/CSE/IT Additional Information Participate in key product development and technical meetings. Excellent knowledge in Software development lifecycle and engineering processes Capable of working as part of a global development team spanning across geos. Good stake holder management and interact with cross geo teams. Be an Agile team member with TTM as a goal with high quality deliveries. Contribute to team goals, schedules.
