Job Description  JOB TITLE:              Accumold Intern   LOCATION:             Accumold  REPORTS TO:         Supervisor or Director for department that Internship is taking place  FLSA:                         Non-exempt JOB SUMMARY:    The duties of an Intern at Accumold will vary due to the area of the business that the internship is taking place.  The internship will be for a short period of time and will have a dual focus of providing a learning opportunity for the intern and value to the Accumold area that is supporting the internship experience.    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Assist in various areas of company as needed.  Such as Innovation, Tooling, Engineering, Production Support, Production, and Facilities. The duties will vary by areas. 2. Contribute problem solving skills in order to provide valuable investigation research, solution development and solution implementation support. 3. Learn IQMS software programs as needed to support the implementation of area specific projects. 4. Participate in data and material related activities. 5. Support Production requirements if needed. 6. Other duties as required.  REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:  1. Education/Experience.  High school education (GED) ideally, applicants should be Engineering majors. Experience or training in using manufacturing information systems is preferred.   2. Computer Skills.  Ability to operate personal computer, copy machine and telephone required.  Proven accuracy in keyboarding skills to enter data correctly and efficiently.  Above average knowledge of enterprise business systems required.  Must have familiarity with Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word.   3. Language Skills. Ability to read, comprehends, and utilizes instructions and short correspondence with coworkers and supervisors.  Ability to effectively communicate information to other employees orally and in writing, in one-on-one and small group situations.  Must possess the interpersonal skills to deal courteously and effectively with a broad spectrum of Accumold staff.   4. Mathematical Skills.  Ability to add, subtracts, multiply, and divides in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to read and understand specification drawings for inspection purposes. 5. Reasoning Ability.  Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a number of variables.  Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. 6. Other Skills and Abilities. Willingness to attend classes or training to enhance and update knowledge and skills.  Ability to work independently. 7. Supervisory Responsibilities.  None 8. Physical Demands. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 55 pounds and may be required to stand and walk and sit for extended periods of time.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.  Dexterity to perform computer operations necessary. 9.
