YOUR CAPABILITIES AND CREDENTIALS

• In the process of becoming a Registered Architect in Canada preferred.
• Strong BIM knowledge and Revit proficiency is required.
• Knowledge of additional modeling and design software such as Rhino, SketchUp, Grasshopper is an asset.
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and others.
• Knowledge of building codes, zoning, jurisdictional processes.
• Proven technical understanding of building science and construction contracts.
• Able to work effectively in managing multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills in dealing with clients and design team members

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• A degree in Architecture (4 year) Undergraduate or Masters’ degree is required.
  Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.

• Under the direction of the Senior Architects, develop designs for projects in a variety of sectors (institutional, education, commercial, retail, healthcare).
• Assist in business development activities such as writing proposals, attending conferences, reviewing work plans.
• Evaluate and assimilate design changes introduced by the client or project architect.
• Coordinate the architectural design with other members of the design team along with engineering consultants and specialist design disciplines.
• Manage multiple projects at the same time, with minimal supervision.
• Assist in the preparation of deliverables at all project phases.
• Support good practices and established policies on project delivery, quality control, and safety.
• Continuously contribute to our team’s goal of delivering excellence – in design, project delivery and communication.
