You’ll build skills to help prepare you to develop a career path.   The Associate Relations Team serves as a subject matter expert and key point of contact for all associate relations matters. They partner with associates and business leaders to provide resources, consultation and mentorship when workplace issues arise. They will also serve as the key point of contact for all trainings, projects and initiatives related to associate relations and compliance. They will also be an integral part to ensure compliance to the Guarantee of Fair Treatment process and to uphold Marriott International’s company culture. The intern will work for Marriott’s Human Resource Services team based in the Singapore’s office to support the Associate Relations function. The expected scope of work covers all countries in Asia Pacific except Great China.    The primary responsibilities for the position include:   Building Relationships * Establishes and maintains an open and collaborative working relationship with the internal and external stakeholders.  * Co-facilitates proactive and productive associate relations activities & projects.    Managing Work Execution * Promotes Marriott International’s fundamental approach to the Guarantee of Fair Treatment for all  * Monitors and ensures compliance with company policies, standards, audits, and local labor regulations.  * Follows through with the associate relations activities that support and align with the Marriott International’s business priorities in partnership with key business partners. * Logs, assists and closes investigation cases and/or projects assigned in a timely manner.   Organizational Learner * Acts proactively to enhance learning and improve job skills and knowledge.  * Researches new and emerging associate relations practices, trends and legislations    Other ad hoc tasks as assigned.      JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES    You should be someone who is passionate, committed and keen to establish a career in the Associate Relations/ Human Resources discipline with the following attributes: * Ability to excel in a fast-paced and action-biased environment. * Ability to type and record verbal statements at a quick pace.  * Detailed-oriented, structured, and organized. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Experience in writing summary report is preferred.  * Excellent command of spoken and written English * Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint). Experience with PowerBI and PowerQuery is preferred. * Protects and maintains confidentiality with critical information. * Proactive and self-motivated     QUALIFICATION STANDARD   Education: Undergraduate in Human Resources, Social Sciences, Business Management, Hospitality Management preferred.   Requirement:  Singaporean, Singapore Permanent Resident Holder or valid student pass / work holiday pass Eligible for undergraduate in a Singapore registered university program / undergraduate or graduate of a university in Singapore, Australia, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, New Zealand, Switzerland, United Kingdom or United States.   Prepared to commit to a six months’ internship.   Grooming: All employees must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance per the standards of Marriott International.   Marriottcorporateinternship   At Marriott International, we are dedicated to being an equal opportunity employer, welcoming all and providing access to opportunity.
