KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Assist in collecting operational data (cycle times, quantities, efficiency metrics) to support ROI and automation feasibility analysis Support concept development through research, brainstorming sessions, and technical discussions Assist in preparing preliminary design concepts under supervision Support mechanical and electrical design activities using CAD tools Assist in developing flowcharts and state machine diagrams for automated systems Support PLC programming, debugging, and basic embedded system tasks under guidance Assist in fabrication support, wiring coordination, and prototype development Support in-house and factory testing by documenting results and validating performance criteria Prepare technical documentation and reports related to automation projects KEY QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & COMPETENCIES Undergraduate in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field Basic knowledge of mechanical and electrical control systems Exposure to CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar) Basic understanding of PLC programming and embedded systems Familiarity with pneumatic systems (basic level) Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Good communication and teamwork skills Willingness to learn and adapt in a technical, hands-on environment Basic understanding of research and technical documentation
Responsibilities
The intern will assist in collecting operational data for automation feasibility analysis and support concept development through research and technical discussions. Responsibilities also include assisting with mechanical/electrical design using CAD, developing flowcharts, and supporting PLC programming and prototype development.
