Intern – Autonomation Silueta – Biyagama Silueta (Pvt) Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of MAS Holdings, specialises in no-sew bonding technology and advanced thermal moulding capabilities. Silueta provides seamless, high-performance designs for categories such as intimate wear and sportswear, offering premium apparel solutions crafted for both comfort and performance. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Collect data on operation cycle times, applicable quantity etc. to calculate return of investment (ROI), degree of automation and viability in proposed projects. Finalize final design concepts after using various information gathering tools and processes such as brainstorming sessions, expert advice, market research, FMEA etc Use CAD software to design related mechanical, pneumatic systems in machines and control system wiring in automated machines. Develop flowcharts / State Machine diagrams of machines according to its desired functionality and perform control system programming and debugging. Lead fabrication of mechanical systems and wiring and manufacture of electrical/electronic control systems. Perform in-house and factory testing and validate requirements related to quality of the product, easiness of the user/operator, reliability of machine etc. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS Undergraduate in Electrical, Mechatronics or relevant field. Knowledge on mechanical and electrical control systems (some pneumatics) and good mechanical system design, simulation and prototyping skills (mechanical).
Responsibilities
The intern will be responsible for collecting operational data to calculate investment returns and automation viability, and finalizing design concepts using various information-gathering tools. They will also design mechanical and pneumatic systems using CAD, develop control logic, and lead fabrication and testing processes.
