Description
Our vision is to transform how the world uses information to enrich life for all. Micron Technology is a world leader in innovating memory and storage solutions that accelerate the transformation of information into intelligence, inspiring the world to learn, communicate and advance faster than ever. Project Title Encap 160’s 3‑Step Air Vent Implementation Description Implement and qualify a 3‑step air vent design for Encap 160 to improve air vent performance, reduce void and bleed risks, and support recuring flash-controlled encapsulation. The project covers build validation, qualification tracking, and multi-functional alignment through full implementation readiness. Scope Support design validation and qualification of the 3‑step air vent implementation Compile and compare current vs modified 3‑step air vent designs Support DOE and boundary studies, including: Air shot, Bleeding evaluation, Void verification, and Vent clog evidence Track and document key design parameters: Vent depth and sequence, Filler size interaction, Film thickness vs vent opening conflict Manage qualification and run tracking for: Dummy runs, Engineering runs, Buy‑off readiness Identify, validate, and close design-related risks Supporting Team •Engineering Team •Process Team •Quality (QA) Team Cross-site / Network Stakeholders (as required) Deliverables •Completed air vent design comparison (baseline vs 3‑step design) •Verified DOE and boundary study results with documented evidence •Qualification status tracking and readiness documentation •Successful closure of identified design and implementation risks •Buy‑off readiness for production implementation Stretch Goal •Support recuring flash reduction initiatives •Strengthen cross‑site alignment for Encap 160 air vent standardization •Enable scalable reference for future air vent design qualification activities Requirement: Bachelor of Mechanical/Mechatronics Engineering or any engineering discipline Durations : Internship duration of 3–6 months is acceptable, with a preference for a 6‑month internship.
