Office of Business Intelligence and Operations Coordination (BIOC) 1. Internship Topic Data Analytics and Data Management 2. Summary of Job Description BIOC is looking for a Data Analytics intern. The intern will Conduct desk research and comparative analysis of publicly available information on data management strategies, organizational models, and data analytics maturity across selected peer institutions. Conduct a preliminary analysis of industry best practices in data analytics tailored to the data needs of sovereign and nonsovereign operations. Conduct internal stakeholder consultations across relevant departments to understand the institutional challenges of a single data management framework that oversees the comprehensive collection of operations data throughout the ADB project life cycle. Develop a data management policy and related structured data management framework relating to anchor the data analytics maturity of peer institutions consistently. Synthesize findings into a comprehensive report with recommendations, including visual dashboards or presentations for internal knowledge-sharing and strategic planning discussions. 3. Period of Assignment Duration: 11 weeks Timing: June 2026 onwards 4. Location ADB Headquarters, Manila, Philippines 5. Expected Outcomes This internship will support BIOC's mandate to continuously improve ADB's data management capabilities by conducting a structured benchmarking study of data analytics practices across comparable organizations and internal stakeholder consultations. The findings will inform strategic policy discussions on potential gaps, emerging trends, and opportunities for innovation in BIOC's service offerings. The intern will gain hands-on experience in institutional research, survey design, and comparative analysis within a multilateral development context—skills highly transferable to careers in development policy, operations, analytics, or business intelligence. This project-based role offers meaningful contribution to BIOC's knowledge base while providing the intern with exposure to ADB's operational environment and professional mentorship from experienced staff. 6. Education Requirements Currently enrolled in a master's degree or PhD program in Data Science, Statistics, Economics, Public Policy, Business Analytics, Development Studies, or related fields. 7. Relevant Experience and Other Requirements Previous experience in research, data analysis, or work with multilateral organizations is preferred. Proficiency in programming and data analysis tools (e.g., Python, SQL, or R). Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau). Preferable with 2-3 years relevant professional experience. Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
