Company Description World Wildlife Fund (WWF) is Bhutan’s oldest conservation partner. The partnership began in 1977 through capacity development of local conservation staff. The support gradually evolved into a full country program with several collaborative conservation projects. Recognizing the need to conserve Bhutan’s natural capital and immense biological diversity, WWF-Bhutan supports the Royal Government with various environmental conservation programs targeting immediate and longer-term conservation issues. Job Description Roles and responsibilities The Communications Intern will support the WWF-Bhutan Communications and Marketing Unit in the following workstreams for three months: Communication & Marketing: Strong written and verbal communication: drafting emails, event briefs, scripts, social media captions, partner updates. Content creation: basic skills in writing posts, taking photos/videos during events, drafting short stories. Brand representation: ensuring tone and messaging align with organizational brand guidelines. Basic design skills: familiarity with Canva/Adobe for event posters, invites, signage. Event Management: Logistics coordination: ability to manage venue bookings, travel arrangements, staging, materials, schedules. On-ground support: confidence in managing registrations, guest flow, setup and breakdown. Vendor coordination: communicating with caterers, hotels, AV teams, transport companies, printing services. Time management: ability to prioritize tasks under deadlines, especially during back-to-back event days. Budget awareness: tracking small expenses, ensuring vendors stay within agreed rates. Administrative duties: Understanding of contract basics: knowing key terms (deliverables, timelines, payment terms), ensuring complete paperwork. Document organization: filing service agreements, quotations, contractor details, and compliance documentation. Attention to detail: ensuring no errors in contract dates, amounts, and partner names. Qualifications Qualification: Undergraduate degree in disciplines related to Communications, Environmental Science, Development Studies or related fields Primarily targeted at individuals who are undergoing or have recently completed an undergraduate degree, typically aged 25 or younger. Language skills: Fluent in English and Dzongkha Attributes and competencies: Proactive and self-driven Positive attitude Resourceful and solution-oriented Outspoken and confident Can take up administrative work Logistics coordination Can work with minimal supervision A strong team player Deadline driven Creative and brings new ideas Passionate about nature conservation Required skills: Design and layout, and video editing using tools such as (Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or other editing tools).
