Mentorship: Interns have a mentor and buddy to help answer any questions and work alongside during your internship Responsibilities Position purpose: To support the ongoing development of the Firm, the Intern will assist the Compliance department in its surveillance activities. The role sits within the Central Surveillance division and focuses on providing day‑to‑day support and monitoring across the Firm’s various business lines, under the guidance of senior team members. Primary duties will include: Support the team in processing compliance and surveillance tasks, including trade and communications alerts, personal account dealing requests, and basic management information. Assist in monitoring key regulatory developments and maintaining internal trackers and summaries. Provide day‑to‑day administrative and operational support to the Compliance Surveillance team. Support senior team members in providing compliance guidance to the business, as required. Assist with the implementation of compliance controls for new business initiatives, products, or jurisdictions. Help manage and monitor the team’s shared mailbox, ensuring queries are logged and directed appropriately. Support the team with ad‑hoc monitoring and “deep dive” review exercises under supervision. Assist with ongoing tasks within the Compliance Monitoring Programme (CMP). Support the team in responding to ad‑hoc queries from internal stakeholders, regulators, and exchanges. Assist with the maintenance and administration of compliance policies and procedures. Support training initiatives, including preparation of materials and coordination of sessions. Assist with compliance inductions for new employees. Support knowledge sharing and learning initiatives within the team.
