Role Overview: We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Intern – Customer Verification (Merchant Risk) to support our Merchant Risk team. The role involves verifying customer transactions, ensuring the authenticity of merchant activities, and helping identify potential fraud or policy violations. This internship offers hands-on exposure to risk operations, fraud prevention, and merchant due diligence within a high-growth fintech environment. What You Will Do: Make outbound calls to customers linked with flagged or high-risk transactions Verify the intent and authenticity of payments and identify potential red flags such as unfulfilled orders, misrepresented services, or policy breaches Document and maintain call logs, capturing key details and outcomes accurately Follow standard verification scripts and communication guidelines to ensure consistency and compliance Share verified findings with the Risk team for further review and investigation What You Will Need: Strong verbal communication and listening skills (fluency in English and Hindi preferred) Comfortable with outbound calling, customer interactions, and basic data entry High attention to detail, reliability, and ability to follow defined processes Available for a full-time internship for 6 months Prior experience or coursework in risk operations, customer service, or fintech is an added advantage
