Central and West Asia Department (CWRD) Office of the Director General, CWRD (CWOD) (Economic Unit) 1. Internship Topic Study on “Life in Kyrgyzstan” 2. Summary of Job Description The Economic Unit of CWRD is seeking an intern with experience in panel data analysis. The selected intern will conduct survey analyses of inclusiveness. The intern will Conduct econometric analyses of “Life in Kyrgyzstan” panel data which includes many households in the Kyrgyz Republic earning incomes from remittances. Examine social profiles, entrepreneurship, human capital, and skills development among people in the Kyrgyz Republic. Assess the different impacts of remittance to household profiles and employment status based on the latest round of “Life in Kyrgyzstan” panel data. 3. Period of Assignment Duration: 11 weeks Timing: June 2026 onwards 4. Location ADB Headquarters, Manila, Philippines 5. Expected Outcomes In working together with an ADB staff, draft a paper on human capital development and inclusiveness in the Kyrgyz Republic, using the Life in Kyrgyzstan panel data. 6. Education Requirements Currently enrolled in a master's degree or Ph.D program in the related field. 7. Relevant Experience and Other Requirements Excellent econometric and statistical skills Proficiency in analyzing the panel data Ability to carry out the economics working paper series Preferably with 2-3 years relevant professional experience. Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
