Department of Communications and Knowledge Management (DOCK) Office of the Principal Director, DOCK (DCOD) 1. Internship Topic Strategic Innovation Management for Multilateral Bank 2. Summary of Job Description The role will be supporting the corporate innovation team in organizing and executing on key innovation initiatives such as innovation project pipeline development, innovator's retreat, and innovation festivals. This role will also be building collaborator networks and databases to expand potential opportunities while preparing an innovation safari for our DMCs (Developing Member Countries). The intern will Conduct research on emerging technologies and innovative practices relevant to ADB's operations. Analyze data to identify trends and opportunities for innovation in sectors such as climate action, digital transformation, and private sector development. Synthesize and share insights from various sources to inform knowledge sharing and management activities. Assist in developing knowledge products, such as reports, policy briefs, and case studies. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and sector experts to integrate innovation into ADB projects and programs. Contribute to capacity-building initiatives by supporting workshops or training sessions on innovation and technology adoption for ADB staff and DMC stakeholders. Assist in the preparation and execution of innovation-focused events, such as forums or conferences. Support pilot projects that explore the use of advanced technologies, including artificial intelligence or smart systems in development projects. Provide administrative and logistical support for ongoing innovation initiatives within ADB. Aid in monitoring and evaluating the impact of innovation-related projects. 3. Period of Assignment Duration: 11 weeks Timing: June 2026 onwards 4. Location ADB Headquarters, Manila, Philippines 5. Expected Outcomes The intern will gain first-hand exposure to innovation priorities for development outcomes and learn strategic approaches to create impact. At the end of the internship, the team will expect strengthened innovation service offerings for DMCs that incorporates contributions from knowledge acquired through the internship. These may include designed innovation programs, insight databases, specialized communication templates, and impact monitoring tools. 6. Education Requirements Currently enrolled in a master's degree or PhD program in Business Administration, Public Policy, Innovation Management, or a related discipline 7. Relevant Experience and Other Requirements Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information. Proficiency in digital tools and emerging technologies. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Demonstrated interest in international development and innovation. Preferably with 2-3 years relevant professional experience. Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
