Intern, Embedded Software Analog Devices (ADI) is seeking an Embedded Software Intern to join our solutions team that supports a broad range of industry leading high-performance linear solutions and standard products in end applications such as industrial automation, instrumentation, automotive, healthcare and communication systems. The Embedded Software Intern contributes to the development of embedded device drivers, middleware, and applications interfacing our products to various embedded processors including FPGAs. As part of a cross functional team, the Embedded Software Intern contributes to the definition, development, implementation, and documentation of the software modules, and provides technical support for our global customers. Responsibilities include: Contributes to the architecture, creation, and maintenance of Linux, Zephyr, and bare-metal device drivers and software projects for embedded systems, processors, FPGA, and microcontroller-based platforms Contributes to development of system level applications Contributes to development of design documentation, application notes, How-To guides, and technical articles Desired Skills and Competencies: Seeking a final-year student enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in Electrical Engineering (EE), Computer Engineering (CE) or Computer Science (CS) Knowledge of software development languages, including but not limited to C, C++, Python, and shell scripting Knowledge of embedded Linux and RTOS systems Experience with Source Code Management (SCM: Git, SVN), cross compiler and in-circuit debugging tools Good software design, problem solving and analytical debugging skills Good understanding of electronics and embedded systems For positions requiring access to technical data, Analog Devices, Inc. may have to obtain export licensing approval from the U.S. Department of Commerce - Bureau of Industry and Security and/or the U.S. Department of State - Directorate of Defense Trade Controls.
