Intern ‐ Engineering (Based at Noyon Lanka - Biyagama) Noyon Lanka, originally a joint venture between a French lace company and MAS Holdings, is a global leader in lace design and production. With design libraries in France and Sri Lanka and production facilities across Sri Lanka, Indonesia, and China, Noyon creates unique lace designs for international brands. Its expertise extends to warp-knit solutions through the INNTRIX collection, catering to activewear, sportswear, and femtech markets. Noyon also pioneers sustainable solutions such as Planetones, a 100% natural dye solution for lace. This will be a great opportunity to further your subject knowledge and gain hands on experience while accelerating your personal development.    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES * Support the design, development, and implementation of IoT, PLC, and microcontroller‑based systems by assisting with programming, testing, and system integration activities. * Perform data collection, monitoring, and basic troubleshooting of electronic and mechatronic systems to ensure smooth operation and continuous improvement of automation solutions. * Assist project teams with planning, documentation, coordination, and progress tracking to ensure timely delivery of engineering projects in line with defined objectives.   KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS * An undergraduate in Mechatronic Engineering with a solid foundation in integrated mechanical, electronic, and control systems. * Hands‑on experience in handling IoT projects involving device integration, connectivity, and data handling. * Practical experience working with PLCs and microcontrollers for automation and control applications. * Strong electronic and mechatronic knowledge covering sensors, actuators, and system integration concepts. * Good programming knowledge relevant to embedded systems, automation, and engineering applications. * Basic to intermediate project management knowledge with exposure to planning, coordination, and execution of projects.
