PURPOSE OF JOB
The intern will assist with several operational tasks across middle and back-office functions within the Grant Unit of Sustainable Infrastructure Group and back-office finance teams. The intern will be responsible for ensuring the timely closure of completed donor-funded consultancy assignments and relevant earmarks as part of the Bank’s introduction of a new system for managing donor funded assignments.
The intern will report to the Principal Manager for portfolio, data and reporting. The intern will interact regularly with other departments such as Operations Finance, Accounts Payable and Donor Partnerships. The primary responsibility of the intern will be to assist with the closure of donor-funded earmarks to ensure successful and on time transition to the new SAP system.
The intern can be asked to perform other duties, as required.
The Sustainable Infrastructure Group delivers over 100 investment projects per year across energy and infrastructure sectors. Many of these investments benefit from donor funded technical assistance, capex grants or concessional loans. A dedicated SAP system for the management of donor funded assignments has been in place which will be replaced with a more modern system in 2026. As part of the move to the new system, cleaning of the existing system is required including closing old or expired records. The intern will play an important role in ensuring this transfer to the new system is completed on time and to highest standard.
