Intern (f/m/d) Project Officer Predevelopment Engineering
In the predevelopment team, the future of spaceflight is our highest priority. Working with ESA and other partners on externally funded projects, we are defining, studying, and planning for the development of future technologies, systems, engines, and vehicles. We are searching for a motivated student to join our versatile, international team. Your Tasks

  • Assist the Predevelopment Project Manager in the work and coordination between the team and partners for external projects
  • Assist in the planning, scheduling, monitoring and control of program milestones, deliverables, and budgets
  • Contribute to the technical work of the predevelopment team, including the creation of development roadmaps for future vehicles and technologies, mission and technical requirements, design studies and trade-offs, creation of system architectures, preliminary ConOps, etc.
  • Contribute to the technical writing and delivering projects with external customers (e.g. ESA, governmental institutions) on-time, on-quality and on-budget
  • Communicate effectively between the company and external stakeholders
  • Contribute to proposal writing

Your Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s student in Aerospace or Space Engineering or related discipline
  • Prior experience in the space industry or in a technical environment (for instance technical student groups like Formula Student) is a plus
  • You bring technical affinity and you are an enthusiast about New Space
  • Business fluent English oral and written (all day-to-day activities are performed in English)
  • Perfect use of MS Office
  • Strong time management, team player attitude and emotional intelligence
  • Self-independent, proactive and structured way of working
  • Cost and risk awareness and business acumen complete your profile
  • Willingness in participating team building events
