Description
Assist in the review of vendor-provided design drawings and specifications for accuracy and completeness. Support the configuration and distribution routing of systems to ensure functionality, ease of maintenance, and alignment with P&IDs. Participate in validating engineering calculations and reviewing equipment and component submittals. Aid in reviewing and validating construction RFI responses and shop drawings. Provide field engineering QA support during the construction and commissioning phases. Collaborate with construction engineers to ensure electrical systems are built to specification and assessment of the commissioning process of the systems meets the desired criteria. Design and implement solutions to optimize the operation of our power distribution network. Develop operations and maintenance documentation and communicate with vendors providing services. Assist in the entry of system information into capacity planning software. Support complex system restoration efforts and work with field crews to solve field issues. Propose distribution expansion projects to increase operational flexibility and respond to unplanned outages. Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with team members from different subject areas. Demonstrated attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Familiarity with safety codes and laws is a plus. Proficiency in using schematic diagrams to troubleshoot systems to the component level. A basic understanding of power systems analysis, applicable national codes and industry standards. Experience with PLC programming and a willingness to learn. A basic understanding of control systems, instrumentation, SCADA, and automation is a plus. Knowledge of data extraction, analysis, and reporting methodologies. Previous internship or project experience in a related field. Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects effectively.
