Job Description Intern Fire Engineer To support our ambitious growth plans, we have a great opportunity to join our Building and Real Estate Division. SOCOTEC's Fire Engineering and Safety teams provide an award-winning, flexible and forward-thinking approach, as well as a high level of technical capability, providing our clients with cost-effective and practical solutions for the full range of fire safety problems. We're looking for an Intern Fire Engineer to gain valuable insights into the fire engineering profession while supporting our experienced fire engineering team. In this role, you will: Support the existing fire engineering team with reporting, marked-up drawings, meetings, and other essential tasks Develop a foundational understanding of fire safety issues and regulations Work collaboratively with team members, managing time effectively and operating within your competency limits Drive your Continued Professional Development with support from the Director of Fire Engineering, participating in our Graduate Training Program Qualifications To be a successful Fire Engineer, you should be able to demonstrate: Enrollment in a bachelor's or master's degree in fire engineering Extreme passion for fire safety and a commitment to learning Strong communication skills and excellent customer service abilities Self-motivation and attention to detail, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team Competent IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Word, Teams, Outlook, and ideally Bluebeam Additional Information Why SOCOTEC?
