Job Description

This internship focuses on advancing Generative AI (GenAI) applications, including Vision Language Models (VLMs) and GraphRAG, to solve challenges in automotive aftermarket services, remanufacturing workflows, and industrial quality control. The candidate will work on projects that integrate multimodal AI systems to enhance defect detection, knowledge retrieval, and process automation in manufacturing/remanufacturing environments. As an Intern, GenAI Research Engineer you will support the following key tasks in collaboration with experience team members.

  • Investigate state-of-the-art vision foundation models for tasks like visual inspection, defect classification in automotive parts, and AI-assisted repair manuals.
  • Research state-of-the-art RAG and GraphRAG systems to organize technical documentation and remanufacturing guidelines into retrievable knowledge graphs, improving repair accuracy and parts lifecycle management.
  • Project updates, presentation, support demonstrations for project stakeholders

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Able to work full time for a Period of 6 months (01.04.2025 to 31.10.2025)
  • Undergraduate/Graduate Studies in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or Computer science.
  • Proficiency in Python, PyTorch/TensorFlow, and NLP/Vision Libraries (Hugging Face, OpenCV)
  • Familiarity with vision models (YOLO, Segment Anything, CLIP), and Knowledge Graph frameworks (Neo4j or Stardog).
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) or Edge Computing.
  • Collaborate with Robotics teams to integrate AI models with IoT platforms and Cobot systems
  • Self-motivated, able to work Independently and Great Problem-Solving skills.
  • Effective Communication and Presentation skills.
