Description
The primary purpose of the Graduate Internship is to provide an intern with relevant field experiences in their chosen field of study. One or more mentors will be assigned to the intern to provide instruction, guidance and to assess performance. The intern is responsible for observing the functions and processes of the assigned work unit. In addition, the intern may be given selected work assignments to reinforce the learning experience, to assess the performance levels and to provide benefit to the work unit. The intern will be responsible for completing all internship-related assignments and reports for both Mayo and the participating educational facility. The duration and timing of the internship will be arranged with the intern.   This position will support Education Research.   Candidates must submit the following to be considered for this internship: 1. Statement of interest describing research interests, learning objectives/goals for the internship, and relevant research background.  2. Current CV (with email address) 3. Current Unofficial Transcript 4. Letter of Support from the applicant’s primary academic advisor on university letterhead, confirming the applicant’s enrollment and good academic standing. The letter should also speak to the applicant’s ability to meet the qualifications of the internship and describe how the experience will strengthen the applicant’s program of study. This internship will be approximately 12 weeks.
