JOB SUMMARY PURPOSE: Under limited supervision of the Manager of Distribution Systems, is responsible for performing various technical and analytical functions in support of the Distribution Systems’ efforts to provide outstanding customer service.  EDUCATION:      * Enrolled as a student of electrical engineering at a recognized college or university.  Sophomore or Junior level with at least one Power Systems Course preferred.  MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:  * Knowledge of various engineering software packages that apply to performing coordination and power flow studies.  * Ability to operate personal computers and various software applications such as Word, Excel, and Access * Experience in mapping or drafting capacity. * Knowledge of office practices and procedures, computerized record system or database and report generating systems. * Available to work irreular hours, if needed. * Enrolled as a Full-Time Student (Undergraduate – 12 hours, Graduate – 9 hours) at an accredited college or university in the United States. * Must be classified as a Sophomore, Junior, Senior or Graduate student. * Must have an overall minimum G.P.A.  of 3.0 or above.  * Must have a valid Driver's License. * Effective verbal and written communication skills. * Ability to maintain effective working relationships with officers, managers, fellow employees and the general public. * Ability to maintain a strong sense of propriety concerning confidential matters.    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:   * Assists in the preparation of weekly and monthly reports and spreadsheets. * Assists the engineers in organizing and publishing departmental documents. * Assists the engineers in verifying distribution system equipment locations and status through field visits. * Research outage data related to customer concerns and prepares responses to customers. * Assists in data collection and record keeping for maintenance programs. * Assists the engineers in reviewing distributed generation applications. * Assists the engineers in data collection and data entry for record keeping. * Assists the engineers in maintaining, updating, and revising various databases. * Assists in the maintaining, updating and revising of the distribution switch numbering book. * Assists the engineers in compiling and analyzing data for the preparation of various studies. * Complies with all applicable Company policies, procedures and code of ethics as well as all applicable governmental laws and regulations to include employment, safety and environmental standards and regulations    APPLICATION TIPS: * Updated resume * Unofficial transcripts will need to be uploaded into the documents section of your profile and application * Overall GPA should match official transcript * Please email careers@epelectric.com [careers@epelectric.com] for questions, assistance or troubleshooting
