Intern ‐ Group Risk & Control (Based at Battaramulla) MAS is Sri Lanka’s largest exporter and South Asia’s largest design-to-delivery solution providers in apparel and textile manufacturing. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES ERM & Governance – Support in driving governance and ERM initiatives, including maintaining a complete and up-to-date risk register. Financial Reporting Reliability – Coordinate the control self-assessment process for the group and validating the effective of internal controls in line with the group policy and procedure requirements. Calendar Management: Efficiently coordinate the Director of Group Risk & Control's calendar to facilitate effective time management. Action Item Tracking: Follow up on action items resulting from engagements conducted by Group Risk & Control members. Task Support: Provide essential assistance to team members by completing assigned tasks promptly and effectively. Timesheet Management: Monitor and ensure timely submission of timesheets by Group Risk & Control members. Team Engagement: Foster team spirit by coordinating team engagements and activities. Meeting Coordination: Organize and oversee Group Risk & Control team meetings, ensuring timely completion of assigned tasks. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS Bachelor’s degree (or reading) in Management. Following CIMA or ACCA will be value added.
Responsibilities
The intern will support governance and ERM initiatives, maintain a risk register, and coordinate the control self-assessment process. Additional responsibilities include managing the director's calendar, tracking action items, and fostering team engagement.
