DUTIES & RESPONSIBILTIES The intern will work for the Hotel Development team, and his/ her key responsibilities will include: Assist the team to maintain accurate data in the project management database at all stages of the hotel project life cycle Maintenance of the team’s database of hotel owners/ investor groups Assist with project governance, including tracking owner due diligence records Track and report on the latest market trends, key lodging statistics, and competitor benchmarking Assist the team with data validation and reconciling data across different teams Assist the team in updating collaterals, deal support, presentations, and research Assist the team on owner marketing event planning Support the team on special projects/ strategic initiatives LEARNING OBJECTIVES The intern will have the opportunity to work closely with the Hotel Development team, and learning objectives will include: Gaining data analytics skills and insights on key international hotel players Gaining exposure to how the Development team evaluates/ analyzes hotel management opportunities Learning about the hotel development process and the relationship between the hotel owner and operator Expanding knowledge about the hospitality industry in the APEC region JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES We are looking for university student who is passionate, committed, and keen to establish a career in the Development discipline with the following attributes: Ability to learn quickly and excel in a fast-paced environment Detailed-oriented, structured, and organized § Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Excellent command of spoken and written English, and strong report-writing capability Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially MS Excel and MS PowerPoint; knowledge of other MS Power tools a plus) Excellent analytical and numeracy skills QUALIFICATION STANDARD Education: Undergraduate in Hospitality, Real Estate, Finance or Business Management preferred Requirements: Singaporean, Singapore Permanent Resident Holder or valid student pass Prepared to commit to a six months’ internship Marriottcorporateinternship At Marriott International, we are dedicated to being an equal opportunity employer, welcoming all and providing access to opportunity.
