Additional knowledge of Arabic and or French is an advantage   Internship Objective The internship aims to provide practical exposure to technology deployment, market analysis, and innovation assessment within the framework of the IsDB Technology Deployment Cooperation Program The intern will support technology screening, benchmarking, database development, and the preparation of analytical and decision-support materials related to development-oriented technology initiatives in IsDB Member Countries   Scope of Work Under Supervision, the intern will contribute to the implementation of the Technology Deployment Cooperation Program of the IsDB, as well as competitive sourcing of innovative and cost effective technologies to address member Country Challenges under the IsDB’s Technology Deployment Cooperation Program as follows: Establishment of technology and provider databases Preparation of screening summaries TECH-aligned comparative analysis matrices Market sounding analysis notes and presentation slides Inputs into shortlisting and decision-support materials   Expected Learning Outcomes Hands-on exposure to market sounding and technology sourcing exercises Practical experience in assessing technology readiness and deployment feasibility Understanding of TECH-based evaluation frameworks Experience working with development-oriented technology programs.   The detailed scope of work includes Support for market sounding calls through the provision of inputs for market sounding calls by assisting in preparing background research on relevant technology sectors, global mapping of providers, with emphasis on IsDB Member Countries, preparation of the call dissemination list and internal tracking of submissions received. Assist in the review & compilation of submissions through initial screening against eligibility criteria outlined in the call (e.g., market readiness, deployment track record), organizing submission materials, such as Technology Appraisal Forms, supporting documents (case studies, certifications, financial information) and populating structured databases with these attributes of the submitted technologies. TECH-Based Analysis & Benchmarking: Support assessment of technologies against the following TECH principles, namely, Technology that is innovative, unique, with transformational potential; Environmental sustainability and social inclusion; Comprehensive and turnkey deployment approach with operational maturity, and deployment record; Home adaptability to member country contexts and capacity development potential. In doing so, the intern will assist in basic benchmarking of technologies as follows: Technical feasibility and performance evidence Cost structure (CAPEX/OPEX) and affordability Scalability and deployment requirements Risks and safeguard considerations Assist division staff in the production of reports on market analysis, readiness mapping of the submitted technologies, indicative pricing models, business models, delivery approaches, as well as identifying emerging trends, common challenges, and innovation gaps in submissions. Assist in the generation of knowledge products such as: market scan summaries, technology landscape overviews, dashboards (shortlisting) and internal briefs.
