EAC Network, a not-for-profit social service agency that empowers, assists, and cares for a over 79,000 people in need through 120 programs across Long Island and NYC, seeks an HR Intern to work part time or full time for the Human Resources Department. This internship is for those who can receive school credit for their work with us. Must be able to provide confirmation that credit can be received. Wage: This is an unpaid Internship Location: 99 Quentin Roosevelt Blvd in Garden City Reports to: Onboarding Manager Primary Purpose of Job: The goal of the internship is for the intern to be engaged in learning & understanding the functions of HR and Recruitment within the Human Resources Department. Principal Duties & Responsibilities: Assist with compiling new hire orientation packets. Assist with creating new employee folders. Assist with Recruiting events and virtual fairs. Help with job postings for new positions. Assist with Recruiting clerical workload as needed. Perform all other relevant duties as determined by Supervision and EAC NETWORK Administration. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Required: This internship is for those who can receive SCHOOL CREDIT ONLY. Some knowledge of computer applications or other automated systems such as spreadsheets, Microsoft Office applications, calendar, and email and/or database software necessary to perform work assignments a big plus. Must have pleasant phone manner and good interpersonal skills. Excellent organizational skills. Able to conduct self in a professional manner.
Responsibilities
The intern will assist with compiling new hire orientation packets and creating new employee folders. They will also help with recruiting events and job postings as well as perform other relevant duties as determined by supervision.
