The internship program will run from Monday, June 1, through Wednesday, August 5. Interns must be available to participate for the full duration of the program. Position Summary The Human Resources intern position provides college and university students with an overview of HR through department specific projects, assignments, and learning activities. Responsibilities Shadows department leaders in all areas of HR, to include Payroll, Benefits, TalentManagement, HR Operations, Talent Acquisition, Associate Experience, HRIS, and EmployeeRelations Completes department-specific weekly assignments and projects to gain a betterunderstanding of the various functions within the HR department Participates in learning activities through department meetings and associate interviews thatprovide an overview of department roles and responsibilities Attends internship meetings hosted by the Internship Liaison and the corporate executive team Participates in company-wide projects and meetings to include: Townhall calls, RPMServescommunity service activities, and Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB) initiatives Completes a final program assessment/evaluation with the Director of HR Operations, VP ofHR, and SVP of HR Performs other duties as assigned Education and Experience Currently enrolled in an accredited Human Resources or other relevant college or university degree program Current college student – Junior year or entering senior year Ability to work in the office five days per week efficiently and meet deadlines Ability to work efficiently and meet deadlines Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Excellent oral and written communication skills Qualifications Physical Requirements: May be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time Must be able to read documents, computer screens and data Must be able to hear and understand verbal communications in person and over the phone or computer May occasionally be required to lift or carry items such as files or office supplies weighing up to 15 pounds Must be able to operate a computer, keyboard, mouse and other office equipment Work Environment: This is an in-office role, requiring the associate to work in one of our corporate or regional offices 5 days per week The office is an open setting which may include bright lights, constant noises and distractions.
