Intern – Industrial Engineering (Based at Vidiyal – Kilinochchi) MAS Intimates, the largest division of MAS Holdings, provides design and manufacturing solutions for leading global lingerie brands. With design hubs in Hong Kong, London, and Sri Lanka, and manufacturing facilities across Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, India, Indonesia, and Kenya, it offers a diverse product portfolio including bras, briefs, shapewear, performance wear, sleepwear, and wearable tech. Intimates’ customers include Victoria’s Secret, Gap, and Calvin Klein. The division’s innovation teams collaborate with universities and experts to deliver consumer-driven, technology-led solutions. Join us as an Intern – Industrial Engineering and gain hands-on experience in driving transformation and innovation in the apparel manufacturing space. You will work alongside experienced professionals to improve manufacturability, optimize processes, and contribute to automation and lean initiatives. Key Responsibilities: Assist the team in PDRA (Product Development Risk Assessment), MI (Moulding Integration), FI (Factory Integration), and Pre-Production activities. Support efforts to identify automation opportunities and standardize operations to simplify production processes. Collaborate in the preparation of production layouts and the development of Yamazumi charts. Participate in team member training initiatives and problem-solving activities on the shop floor. Contribute to projects related to MAS Operating System (MOS) to enhance efficiency and standardization. Maintain compliance with health, safety, and quality procedures during assigned tasks and activities. Knowledge and Skills: Undergraduate pursuing a degree in Physical Sciences, Engineering, or any related field. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Interest in Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement principles. Good communication and teamwork skills. Passion for learning and innovation in the apparel manufacturing domain.
Responsibilities
