Job Summary The intern role is designed to expose and challenge students pursuing or interested in a career in Information Technology, or a related field. This position will work alongside our IT team providing entry level IT support by assisting staff in basic information technology, and customer support tasks as well as project work, and trouble shooting. This role will get hands-on experience solving business needs. This position is 25 hours a week Monday-Friday, with flexibility work schedule. Days and hours to be determined. Job Qualifications Working towards a degree or certification in Information Systems, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field; recent grads who are within 12 months of graduation. Working knowledge of desktop Operating Systems and desktop software including Microsoft Office products Familiarity of Desktop and Laptop hardware components Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities Organizes schedules, filing systems, storage rooms, and process improvements. Manages hardware ordering processes and coordinate inventory of IT assets. Familiarize and assist end-users with basic software, hardware and peripheral device operation and use. Triage helpdesk calls & ticket logging in JIRA (Helpdesk ticketing system). Relocate computers and setup for users. Help manage procurement and track hardware and software of inventory. Assess/Retire/Repair laptops and desktops. Assist with device deployments/replacements: Run updates etc. (administrative access will be limited). Works with vendor support contacts to resolve technical issues within the laptop/desktop environment. Arrange and prepare equipment for shipping/receiving and distribution accurately and promptly. Assist/Troubleshoot walk in and appointment scheduled end users where applicable. Troubleshoot issues with computers, printers, mobile devices, and audio/visual equipment. Help with new employee hardware and software setups. Other Job Duties & Responsibilities Complete all special projects assigned. Performs other duties as assigned. This role routinely uses standard office equipment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to speak and hear.
