Description Details: Paid Internship 40 hours per week Interns typically start employment mid-May and complete their internship in July/August. Summary of the Position: The Commercial Intern, Inside Sales will support Nutramax’s commercial organization by driving awareness of key clinic programs, engaging veterinary practices, and generating qualified leads for the sales team. This role provides hands-on exposure to inside sales, customer outreach, and commercial operations within a fast-paced animal health company. Working closely with both inside and outside sales teams, the intern will help build strong clinic relationships, promote staff education and engagement initiatives, and contribute to a seamless customer experience through effective communication. This internship offers a strong foundation for a future commercial career in the animal health industry. Responsibilities: Clinic Outreach & Program Promotion (70%) • Conduct outbound communications to drive awareness to the Clinic Staff Program and ADWTCE conference. • Clearly explain program benefits, enrollment steps, and available resources for clinic teams. • Track outreach efforts, responses, and follow-ups to build engagement and participation. • Maintain a professional, positive brand presence in all clinic interactions. Sales & Team Support (25%) • Support Inside and Outside Sales Representatives with lead generation and clinic engagement. • Help identify opportunities for additional product education or sales support. • Assist ISR Inventory associate with distribution of marketing materials and educational resources. Data Management (5%) • Maintain accurate records of clinic contacts, outreach activity, and program enrollment. • Track engagement metrics and assist in reporting outreach effectiveness. • Ensure all data entry is accurate and completed in a timely manner. • Performs data entry and supports related projects for sales and marketing teams. Learning Objectives: This internship will provide exposure to and hands-on experience in the following areas: • Veterinary and animal health sales processes • Inside sales operations and customer relationship management • Professional communication, outreach strategies, and relationship building techniques • Sales activity tracking, performance measurement, and reporting • Nutramax’s Commercial Value Stream (CVS) and its role in driving commercial execution Minimum Requirements: • Currently enrolled and pursuing a 4-year degree in business, business management sales, marketing, sales leadership or a related field. • Strong verbal and written communication skills. • Comfortable speaking on the phone and communicating professionally via email. • Organized with strong attention to detail and follow-up skills. • Positive, energetic attitude with willingness to learn. • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word). • Ability to work independently and in a team environment. • Regular attendance is required. • Other duties as assigned. • Must be able to effectively communicate with other departments and function within a team environment.
