Line of Service Internal Firm Services Industry/Sector Not Applicable Specialism IFS - Finance Management Level Intern/Trainee Job Description & Summary As a Finance Operations Intern, you will gain hands‑on experience in core financial processes and contribute to the smooth execution of finance operations within a professional services environment. This role offers practical exposure to project financials, billing, reporting, and process improvement initiatives while developing your technical, analytical, and problem‑solving skills. You will collaborate closely with the Finance team and engage with cross‑functional stakeholders. Engagement & Project Financials Support Maintain accurate project and contract records to support engagement teams. Assist in preparing, reviewing, and processing client billing information. Process Work‑in‑Progress (WIP) adjustments in accordance with established procedures. Support project/contract close‑out activities to ensure completeness and compliance. Monitor and follow-up on staff’s timecard submission, process time transfers and assist users with troubleshooting timecard related matters. Reporting & Query Resolution Prepare reports to support management decision‑making. Assist in resolving queries related to finance operations, including liaising with IT or other support teams. Service Delivery & Process Improvement Ensure timely resolution of internal and external queries within required SLAs and in compliance with finance policies. Contribute to process improvement or system implementation initiatives as guided by the team lead. Support other finance functions and carry out ad‑hoc tasks assigned by management.
