We offer students the opportunity to spend a summer working at one of Securitas’ US Operating Centers. This internship program offers undergraduate students with real-world application of business within the North America Shared Services organization. You will participate in an 11-week internship located in Parsippany, New Jersey for 32-40 hours per week and working a hybrid schedule. As an IT Finance Summer Intern, you will support the IT Finance and Infrastructure Operations team with financial analysis, reporting, and process improvement initiatives across the North America Infrastructure organization. This role provides hands-on exposure to IT financial management, including cloud cost tracking, asset management reporting, vendor and contract analysis, and budgeting processes.  You will assist with data analysis, reporting automation, and documentation efforts while gaining experience working with cross-functional teams across IT, procurement, and finance. This internship offers an opportunity to learn how financial operations support enterprise infrastructure strategy and cost optimization. The position supports financial governance activities related to budgeting, cost tracking, asset lifecycle management, and vendor spend analysis within the GITS-A organization. Successful completion of the internship program could lead to a return internship for the following summer or employment at the organization in the future.   ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Financial Reporting & Analysis • Assist with compiling IT financial reports including budget vs. actual spend tracking. • Support preparation of quarterly financial review materials and dashboards. • Analyze financial data trends and assist in identifying potential cost optimization opportunities. • Help maintain documentation for IT financial processes and reporting standards. Cloud Cost Management & Optimization • Support tracking and reporting of cloud spend and cost allocation metrics. • Assist in reviewing cloud resource tagging and cost categorization. • Help prepare reports used for cloud cost transparency and FinOps governance. • Provide support for the development of new Intelli-Ops Cloud reporting tool. Asset Management • Assist with maintaining asset inventory data and reporting accuracy. • Support documentation of asset lifecycle processes such as procurement, replacement, and recovery. • Help prepare asset reporting used to track utilization and financial impact. Vendor and Contract Management • Assist with maintaining vendor contract records and renewal tracking lists, supporting a consistent SharePoint repository. • Support vendor performance scorecard reporting and data collection. • Help prepare summary data for vendor review meetings and financial analysis. Budgeting and Cost Savings • Support the tracking of IT cost-saving initiatives and financial impact metrics. • Assist with data gathering for budget planning and forecasting activities. • Help identify spending patterns or anomalies through basic data analysis. Process Improvement & Automation: • Assist in documenting financial workflows and identifying opportunities for automation. • Support improvements to reporting processes and dashboards. • Help prepare operational documentation and knowledge-base materials.   MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AT ENTRY: Additional qualifications may be specified and receive preference, depending upon the nature of the position.   Education/Experience: • High school diploma or GED • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance, accounting, business, information systems, or a related field • Strong interest in technology finance, IT operations, or data analytics   Competencies (as demonstrated through experience, training, and/or testing): • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to analyze and resolve technical issues • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail • Effective verbal and written communication skills • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment • Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively   Preferred:  • Experience with data visualization or reporting tools (Power BI, Excel dashboards, etc.) • Basic understanding of cloud computing or IT infrastructure concepts • Interest in financial analysis, cost optimization, or IT governance   WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS: With or without reasonable accommodation, a candidate must have the physical and mental capacity to effectively perform all essential functions described.
