Description
The IT Desktop Support Intern supports the IT department in delivering technical assistance to end users across the organization. This role provides hands-on experience troubleshooting desktop hardware, software, and peripheral issues while learning enterprise IT systems and service management processes. Under the guidance of experienced IT professionals, the intern assists with ticket resolution, device configuration, and day-to-day IT operations to help ensure systems run efficiently and service levels are maintained. This position is designed to provide practical exposure to a corporate IT environment while developing foundational technical and customer service skills. Core Responsibilities Assist with configuring and setting up desktop computers, laptops, monitors, printers, and other peripherals Support the IT team in managing helpdesk tickets and responding to user requests Provide basic troubleshooting support for hardware and software issues Help install software updates, security patches, and system configurations Assist with equipment relocation and workstation setups Participate in onboarding support by preparing equipment and coordinating access setup Document solutions and contribute to internal knowledge resources Provide on-site and remote support to employees under supervision Support special IT projects as assigned Core Qualifications Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field Must have completed at least 2 years of undergraduate coursework Basic understanding of Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office Familiarity with computer hardware components and peripherals Interest in learning about networks, VPNs, and enterprise IT environments Strong problem-solving mindset and willingness to learn Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively Strong written and verbal communication skills The compensation for this position will be $24.00 for Juniors & $25.00 for Seniors.
