This Position reports to:
Production Engineering Supervisor
The manufacturing engineering intern works at our plant that produces emergency lighting products and printed circuit boards. Their main role is to participate in defining and implementing projects related to improving production processes and supporting the introduction of new products and technologies. They act as a liaison between the design and production departments.

Responsibilities
  • Manage various projects aimed at improving operational processes.
  • Manage different projects on the production floor related to product assembly, introduction of new equipment, and the launch of new products.
  • Plan, schedule, and follow up with stakeholders involved in the projects.
  • Lead 5S activities in various production departments.
  • Support the production team in their daily tasks: creating and updating work instructions and methods, optimizing work tools, managing standard times, etc.
  • Ensure compliance with procedures, processes, laws, and standards related to health, safety, environment, and quality, and integrate these principles into tasks and projects.
  • Align with ABB’s core values of safety and integrity, meaning taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the company.
