Position summary: As a Manufacturing Services Intern at Rolls-Royce, you’ll support manufacturing processes by analysing data, improving workflows, and assisting with lean manufacturing initiatives. You’ll collaborate with engineers and technicians to enhance efficiency, quality, and safety across operations. This role offers hands-on experience in a high-performance, precision engineering environment. What you’ll be doing: Supporting predictive maintenance – assisting in advancing digital tools and strategies for predictive and analytical maintenance Vendor coordination – acting as a liaison between vendors and the technical team, managing fixture care programmes and updating fixture passports Maintenance planning and projects – helping plan weekly preventive maintenance and coordinating improvement projects (e.g., OFI, 3C, ONE Plan) Problem solving and improvement – contributing to 8D root cause investigations and supporting quality, cost, and safety improvement initiatives Workshop and inventory support – assisting with inventory control and collaborating with technicians on workshop improvement projects Who we’re looking for: Students pursuing Engineering degrees (Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical, etc.) Basic programming knowledge (e.g., Python) Exposure to data analysis tools such as Power BI, Minitab, MATLAB, or ThingWorx Basic understanding of manufacturing processes, maintenance concepts, and technical documentation Strong communication and team collaboration skills Our behaviours drive us - we put safety first, do the right thing, keep it simple and make a difference.
