JOB OVERVIEW

Chalkboard Marketing is looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented Marketing Coordinator with a passion for events. This is an entry-level role that will begin as an internship (3 months), with the potential to transition into a full time Event Coordinator position. You’ll support the team in planning and executing a variety of events, developing valuable skills in event management, logistics, and communication. QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Event Management, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
  • Previous internship or experience in event planning or coordination is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • A proactive and enthusiastic attitude with a passion for creating memorable experiences.
  • Ability to work well in a team and collaborate effectively across different departments.
  • Willingness to learn and grow within the event coordination field.
Responsibilities
  • Assist in the planning and execution of in-person, including conferences, workshops, and client events.
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure events run smoothly, from logistics to attendee experience.
  • Support the team in coordinating all event details, including venue selection, catering, transportation, and staffing.
  • Assist in creating event-related materials, such as invitations, signage, programs, and handouts.
  • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers, ensuring all event needs (audio/visual, decorations, etc.) are met.
  • Support the execution of promotional efforts for upcoming events, including event announcements and attendee engagement.
  • Conduct post-event evaluations, including gathering attendee feedback and providing recommendations for future events.
  • Provide administrative support for the event team, including scheduling meetings, coordinating timelines, and handling logistics.
