Job Title:  Marketing Intern Department:  Marketing Supervisor:  VP, Marketing Job Classification:  Non-Exempt Job Type:  Part-Time, 29 Hours per Week  (September - December)  Summary: The mission of the Boston Celtics internship program is to educate its participants in all aspects of operating a professional sports organization. Through observation and practical experience, interns learn how to function in a professional environment that requires a high energy level, the ability to perform under pressure and the utilization of essential time management skills. Through these developments, the Boston Celtics strive to successfully prepare their interns to compete for positions in the professional sports industry.   Responsibilities:  •    Assist with the planning and execution of key marketing initiatives and tentpole events, ensuring all activities align with the Boston Celtics' brand and objectives. •    Conduct research on fan and social trends, culminating in a comprehensive presentation to the marketing department to inform future strategies. •    Organize and maintain the marketing calendar, ensuring all events, deadlines, and key activities are accurately documented and communicated. •    Attend and capture content at various community and sponsored events, contributing to the creation of engaging and authentic marketing materials. •    Work closely with team members and other departments to support various marketing projects and campaigns. Qualifications:  •    Experience in strategic planning is preferred, with the ability to contribute to the development and execution of marketing strategies. •    Demonstrated experience in social media and an understanding of trends and topics that intersect with basketball, including music, pop culture, and fashion. •    Basic knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, and various digital platforms. •    Extremely driven and organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively. •    Strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of conveying ideas clearly and concisely. Learning Opportunities: •    Gain hands-on experience in sports marketing with a premier NBA team. •    Develop skills in strategic planning, social media management, and content creation. •    Enhance research and analytical abilities through trend analysis and presentations. •    Build a professional network within the sports and entertainment industry.
