We are currently seeking a motivated engineering student to join our Solar Array Engineering Team as a 2026 summer intern in our San Jose offices. Solar Array engineering is comprised of various roles that contribute to the design, development, production, and test of Solar Array components. Intern at Lanteris Space Systems have the opportunity to gain valuable skills and mentorship by working along-side industry-leading experts on real missions. We design, analyze and test high quality Solar Arrays that are suitable for space missions ranging from Low Earth Orbit Satellites to Geostationary Satellites to Planet Exploration Satellites. As an intern on the Solar Array team your responsibilities will include: Work alongside senior engineers to support production of solar arrays Creating CAD models/drawings and other documentation Participate in cross-discipline engineering collaboration Supporting design and/or test reviews Minimum requirements: Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program with completion of 2 years or more or currently enrolled in a master's degree program in aerospace, mechanical design, materials, or industrial engineering or related discipline. Preferred Qualifications: Experience using 3D modeling software to be able to create models and generate drawings. Creo or SolidWorks preferred. Interested to pursue a career in space communication Self-Motivated Good analytical skills Completed courses related to aerospace design Good in collaborating even with others who are not in the same discipline The base pay for this position within California is: $28.00 - $31.00 hourly The salary range listed is based on two years or more of completed studies. This range will vary based on the number of years of experience and work location.
