  Engineering Internship at Web Industries Hartford (Dayville, CT) - SUMMER HELP Working Monday to Friday from 8am to 5pm Purpose of the Job The Engineering intern role is to support process and applications engineering initiatives.  This support will include testing of materials from product development / improvement trials, test method development, process improvement implementation, machine component design (CAD) and procurement, material inspection, research to support engineering projects, basic data analysis, lean event support, draft ISO9001/ ISO13485 documentation, safety compliance support.  Functional responsibilities * Safety and Environmental Compliance * Document and report identified safety issues * Support improvement/corrective actions for open safety items * Manufacturing Support * Material Testing * Material Inspection * Machine Component design and procurement * Lean event support *  Engineering Support * Testing * Data Analysis * Qualitative Inspection * Research * Quality * Production data review * Test method improvement Qualifications * Pursuing a B.S. degree in mechanical engineering with a minimum of 2 years college experience-Required * Ability to prioritize and manage complexity * Excellent accuracy of work and attention to detail * Ability to influence others and get results working with a diverse team * Personal leadership, time management, and problem-solving competencies * Excellent written and oral communication skills with all levels within and outside of the organization * U.S. citizenship required To conform to U.S. Government aerospace and defense technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
