Intern – Merchandising (Based at MDS, Ratmalana) MAS Intimates, the largest division of MAS Holdings, provides design and manufacturing solutions for leading global lingerie brands. With design hubs in Hong Kong, London, and Sri Lanka, and manufacturing facilities across Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, India, Indonesia, and Kenya, it offers a diverse product portfolio, including bras, briefs, shapewear, performance wear, sleepwear, and wearable tech. Intimates’ customers include Victoria’s Secret, Gap, and Calvin Klein. The division's innovation teams collaborate with universities and experts to deliver consumer-driven, technology-led solutions. This will be a great opportunity to further your subject knowledge and gain hands-on experience while accelerating your personal development. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Communicate and follow up with suppliers and customer Liaise with Sample Room, Embellishment, Planning and sourcing team to ensure samples are completed in a timely manner. Coordinating with stores, cutting and sample room in-order to send the samples on time. Supporting the Product Development merchants, mainly in managing the sample room activities Raw Material ordering, Goods Received Notes, and Material Recovering Facility issuing and collecting from stores. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS Undergraduate degree in Marketing, Business Management, or professional qualifications such as CIM Basic proficiency in Excel, with the ability to manage and analyze data efficiently. Proficient in PowerPoint, with the ability to create compelling presentations that convey ideas clearly and professionally. Communication and Negotiation skills
Responsibilities
The intern will communicate and follow up with suppliers and customers while coordinating with various teams to ensure timely completion of samples. They will also support product development merchants in managing sample room activities and handle raw material ordering.
