Job Summary: A Hospitality Intern is a supervised hands-on rotational position that provides students with practical experience in the day-to-day operations of a NEXCOM Hotel in addition to providing experience with the various departments of the NEXCOM Hospitality Group headquarters office. The primary goal is to learn how to deliver exceptional guest experiences while gaining insight into the operational financial capital planning marketing and managerial aspects of the hospitality industry. Duties and Responsibilities: Performs duties to support headquarters operations in various NHG departments such as Financial Facilities Marketing Information Technology Policy Training and Compliance. Prepares and analyzes data and compiles reports. Creates draft presentation materials and forwards to appropriate NHG Leader for review and finalization. Research trends in demographics social media technology and hospitality industry services and products. Complete tasks by learning and utilizing systems tools and software that apply. May represent NEXCOM Hospitality Group in meetings related to project assignments with or in the absence of assigned NHG leader. May participate in operational duties at a local Navy Gateway Inns Suites or Navy Lodge in a hands on or job-shadowing role in various departments. Will be required to work in the local field locations as well as in the headquarters office.
