Description
Intern With Abide At Abide Women’s Health Services, our interns are an essential part of the work we do to advance maternal justice in historically overlooked communities. Whether you're supporting community outreach, volunteer coordination, or event logistics, you’ll gain hands-on experience in a dynamic, mission-driven environment. We offer internships year-round—fall, spring, summer, or year-long—with a minimum three-month commitment. Internships are unpaid, but the professional growth, mentorship, and impact you’ll experience are invaluable. If you're a passionate, people-centered student or recent graduate looking to make a difference, we encourage you to apply. INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITIES COMMUNITY OUTREACH INTERN Help us build and deepen relationships across Dallas and Tarrant County by representing Abide at community events, tabling opportunities, and neighborhood gatherings. You’ll play a key role in increasing awareness of our services and in engaging residents in meaningful conversations about maternal health equity. VOLUNTEER COORDINATOR INTERN Support and grow our community of volunteers by assisting with recruitment, onboarding, training, and recognition efforts. You’ll help ensure volunteer involvement is aligned with Abide’s mission and operational needs. MOBILE CLINIC INTERN Support the setup and day-to-day operations of Abide’s Mobile Clinic as it brings essential maternal health services to historically neighborhoods. This role is hands-on and community-facing—ideal for students interested in public health, healthcare delivery, or mobile care innovation. DEVELOPMENT & FUNDRAISING INTERN Help grow the impact of Abide’s mission by supporting donor engagement, fundraising campaigns, and grant research. If you’re organized, creative, and passionate about nonprofit sustainability, this internship offers valuable experience in development and philanthropy. MATERIAL GOODS & RESOURCE INTERN Ensure families receive essential items with dignity and care by organizing donations, maintaining inventory, and preparing bundles for distribution. This is a great opportunity for students who love logistics, attention to details, and want to make a tangible difference in people’s lives.
Responsibilities
Interns support maternal justice through community outreach, volunteer coordination, and mobile clinic operations. They also assist in fundraising, donor engagement, and the management of material goods for families.
