Job Summary:  A high school or college student who accepts a temporary assignment and works in an entry level position at the bank . The student receives exposure to the banking industry or a field of study such as Retail, Technology, Operations, Marketing, Human Resources, Accounting, Risk or Compliance.  It is a short-term assignment, from two weeks to several months, based on the need of the organization and the timeline of the student or school program. It is combined learning experience and work experience.  Principal Responsibilities:  Shadow a manager or employee within the bank to learn the skills needed to perform the assigned function or complete the assigned project.  Interact professionally with management, employees and or customers to perform the required tasks assigned. Complete projects within the required timeframe. This may include writing papers or completing course work for their school courses.  Complete assigned compliance courses to complete through BVS to gain knowledge of the banking industry and associated regulations.  Perform customer service, research assignments, data analysis, marketing assignments, inventory, writing assignments or other project work as needed by the department.  Education/Experience Requirements:  * Possess an interest in the Banking or Finance field or the area of interest such as Banking, Information Technology, Marketing, Human Resources, Accounting, Risk or Compliance to name a few areas.  * Demonstrate professionalism in communication, appearance and responsibility. * Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications is expected. * Excellent written and verbal skills are a necessity as is the ability to articulate in a manner understood by all levels of the organization.  This will change for each position Initiative: * This position performs a wide variety of diversified tasks in various departments and areas of study.  * The position requires communication skills in all assigned departments. * The position requires computer skills in all assigned departments.  * Requires logical thinking and understanding of the business. Must be able to ask clarifying questions or advice as needed.  This will change for each position Responsibility:  Interns must be able to maintain confidentiality when exposed to personal data of customers of the bank. Interns must follow the direction of their mentor or manager in the department assigned. The intern should ask questions on assignments and also ask for additional work if interested and able. Supervision: None Position Conditions:  Normal.  While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle controls; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, or kneel. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. Ability to travel by car. 
Responsibilities
The intern will shadow bank employees to learn industry skills and complete assigned projects across various departments. Responsibilities include performing research, data analysis, and customer service tasks while maintaining strict confidentiality.
