Duration: 6 months Deadline: 01 March 2026 Starting date: May/June2026 Location: Songdo, Incheon City, Republic of Korea Remuneration: US$ 1,600/month About the Green Climate Fund (GCF) Set up in 2010 by the 194 countries who are Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), GCF takes its responsibility as the world’s largest dedicated multilateral climate fund to heart. GCF funds transformative climate projects across the developing world, supporting countries in their responses and actions to tackle climate change while fostering sustainable development within their communities. Our country-driven approach ensures that our actions are tailored to the unique circumstances and national aspirations of each nation we support. Besides channeling public and private sector investment through a broad range of financing instruments, GCF builds the capacity of developing countries to take climate action through an extensive Readiness Programme ensuring countries are increasingly well-equipped and financed to manage their climate futures. Headquartered in the Republic of Korea, GCF operates with a diverse and talented workforce of over 300 people. Internship Assignment The Intern will provide operational and administrative support to the ​investment operations team in the front office of the Office of the Chief Investment Officer (OCIO)​. S/he will have the opportunity to learn and expand her/his experiences by providing assistance in​ project pipeline management, strategic investment planning and implementation, project-specific accreditation, and administration of Secretariat investment committees.​ Under the overall guidance of the designated primary and alternate supervisors within the ​OCIO​, the Intern is expected to: Assist with monitoring and data analysis of the GCF project pipeline in support of its prioritization and management; Support implementation of GCF’s strategic plan and annual work programme through drafting workplans, analysing and projecting pipeline data, and contributing to departmental reports to senior management and the Board; Aid the effective functioning of the Climate Investment Committee and Operations Committee, including circulating agendas, arranging meetings, following up on the decisions of the committees; and Support other strategic and corporate priorities of the OCIO, including analytical and logistical support of cross-Secretariat change initiatives, as requested. Requirements and qualifications Enrolled in bachelor’s program in ​International Relations, Law, Finance, Economics, Public Policy​ or related fields; Knowledge and experience with ​analysing complex problems, data and processes; and coordinating collaboration between multiple stakeholders;​ Ability to multitask and deliver within tight timelines, while demonstrating attention to detail; Good understanding and experience in operations of international organization is an added advantage; Proficiency in using standard software programs: MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Access; Excellent writing and presentation skills; Fluency in English is essential; knowledge of another United Nations language, in particular French and Spanish, and/or Portuguese is an advantage. *The person assessed by the Selection Panel as most suitable for the position will be proposed for appointment.
